T H E H I V E
E V E N T P E R I O D A C T I V E : T B A
There are three different quests depending on which route you are taking - Rescue, Rend, and Hive. The requirements are the same for each.
Synopsis
You must provide a synopsis (summary) outlining the major occurrences for all involved Phelions. There is no minimum or maximum, but if I (Auspice) find it unsatisfactory, I may press for more detail. The same synopsis can be used for multiple entries across different paths, if multiple Phelions are involved; you could make a single synopsis involving all your characters.
Example: "Calla and Nidae participated notably in the meetings led by Kaluin to consolidate information and make a plan of attack. Orvis and Cobalt attended a few, though Orvis devoted much of their time to research, burying themself in their work to escape the stress of guilt and loss resulting from Aleiren's abduction. When the rescue operation was launched, Cobalt was one at the head of the charge. However, after an arduous battle, Cobalt was overwhelmed. The Aphels connected to her, tapping into the lingering connection left by a close shave in the Invasion, and something in her broke. She became monstrous, rampant, hostile to anything that approached. Nidae was able to subdue her with Calla's assistance, "
Entry
Create artwork, a comic, writing, or an art/writing combo. See requirements for each below.
You may submit multiple separate entries for different Phelions. At least one Phelion for each entry must be yours. You may collab on pieces, though the amount of effort should be approximately equal. If you allow someone else to use your Phelion with it not being a collab, you will not earn any bonus rewards for them.
Artwork.
The piece must be clean, fully colored, and with a full background and environment. Shading or some sort of texture/effects should be present; it should not be flat. Rougher artstyles are acceptable, so long as the piece does not look incomplete.
The part of the character(s) drawn depends on how many characters there are and whether or not it is a collab.
Collab: 2 - fullbody or almost, 3 - partial bodies (thighs-up or more), 4+ - halfbodies (waist-up or more)
Solo: 1 - fullbody or almost, 2 - partial bodies (thighs-up or more), 3+ - halfbodies (waist-up or more)
Comic.
It should have at least some different shade values. If it is monochrome, different grays can be used to indicate different objects/colors, for instance.
It does not need to be shaded.
The finish level should be somewhat decent; clean sketches or rough lineart is acceptable, but it should not consist of very messy sketches.
If panels are done in clean color (no shading necessary), only four unique panels are required.
At least one panel needs a full background. Otherwise, backgrounds are not required but environments should be made as necessary.
The minimum number of panels depends on how many characters there are and whether or not it is a collab. The character should be drawn as at least a headshot, and copy-pasted panels with minor edits do not count. Backgrounds can be reused. You are welcome to draw extra panels below requirements as necessary for the narrative.
Collab: 12 panels for two characters. Add 3 panels for each additional character.
Solo: Eight panels for one character. Add 2 panels for each additional character.
Writing. The minimum word count on how many characters you want to include for quest completion (if you just want to include them without going for completion rewards, you do not need to count them) and whether or not it is a collab. Each character included in quest completion should have some amount of focus on them (i.e. a part in their POV or heavy involvement in the plot); a short appearance and/or a few lines would not be accepted. You can have timeskips, multiple scenes, shifting POVs, etc.
Collab: 3000 words minimum for two characters. Add 800 words for each additional character.
Solo: 1500 words minimum for one character. Add 500 words for each additional character.
R E S C U E
After the losses experienced in The Invasion, the Academy launches a rescue operation. The Aphel-touched who remain at the Academy may try to trace the connection, and other Phelions follow the trace to their kidnapped companions.
Eligibility
The Phelion(s) used must have completed the Invasion quest, and they must not have transitioned to the Hive route. You may involve Phelions that do not reach qualifications, but they would not be eligible for rewards.
You must have a Toyhou.se account, and you must be in the Auspicium Discord server with the Phelion role or a superseding one, such as Species or Enlightened.
Submission
What role does your Phelion play in the rescue? Do they stay at the Academy, the orbital base at Earth? Do they take part in the meetings for tracking down the abducted Phelions and planning for the counterattack? Do they join in the rescue operation itself?
If they are Aphel-touched, they may will be particularly targeted for abduction. Tendrils of multiple Aphels merge with them, causing them to become paralyzed and overcome by the Aphels before being kidnapped. If you take your Phelion down the Abduction Route, that Phelion will be eligible for the Hive-side quest in Part 2.
You can have a Phelion become Aphel-touched through this quest, even if you already have one, so long as it does not make more than half of your Phelions Aphel-touched. That is, you must have 2 or more if no previous Aphel-touched, must have 4 or more if you have one Aphel-touched already. In Part 2, there will be another opportunity for Aphel-touched to transition to the Hive-side of the Main Story quests. During the Invasion, Aphels do continue to attack non-Aphel-touched Phelions and continue trying to take their fragments.
Synopsis

An example: "Orvis and Aleiren were at the Academy together when the Invasion began. Aleiren began to hear voices, experiencing a headache and something similar to dissociation as visions and alien voices resounded in their mind. Aphels managed to breach their location and targeted Aleiren aggressively; Orvis defended them until Aleiren recovered enough to fight. However, Aleiren was overwhelmed by Aphels and was subdued by multiple. Orvis watched them be transported away."

Rewards
Eligibility for next Story Quest and progression towards Finale Rewards
Conditional
Aphel-touched trait | Your entry must depict your Phelion's close encounter with the Aphels, and the new Aphel-touched trait must not make more than half of your Phelions Aphel-touched.
Transition to Hive-side of Main Story | Your Phelion must have already been Aphel-touched, and their abduction must be depicted in your entry.
Event
Option to volunteer your Phelion for official content, including interlude chapters (writings or other story media between quests) and/or a possible major project (may be comic, web novel, animation, short film, etc.). Note that this is not a guarantee of usage, and they may only make a minor appearance. I do not know how long it will be before I pursue the major project.
You have additional options for specifications and such:
Yes: You volunteer your Phelion for usage. I will notify you if you do. Please provide all socials you would wish to be tagged in and indicate your primary preferred one.
Consultation required: if I use your Phelion in official content, I must discuss how I will use them with you, go over their dialogue and actions with you, etc.
Check required: If I use your Phelion, I must check in with you at least once. You may specify further details as desired.
Free reign: I use only the information you included in your entry/entries as a reference. I will notify you prior to using them and may or may not check with you while the project is in progress, but I will notify when the part is complete/posted.
Free real estate: I can use your Phelion as I please and do not need to notify or consult you whatsoever. I will still credit you for ownership of the character, though.
No: You do not volunteer your Phelion for usage in official content.
Ownership lock: You may request that your Phelion's ownership be permanently locked to you. This would be indicated on the masterlist. This option is only available if you volunteer your Phelion for official content. Note that the Phelion will be locked to you if I decide to use them; you will be notified if/when I start the project, and can still choose to retract your offer.
The "volunteer ticket," so to speak, is only valid so long as the Phelion is still owned by you by the time I start. The Phelion will be ownership-locked to you if I decide to use them. You must also still be in the Auspicium Discord server with the Phelion role or a superseding one - if you leave the server, your ticket will be revoked. If you re-join, you may ask to reinstate the "ticket."
